Team Love

There is true power in a strong team. At Artistry, we believe in the power of a team; our team. As we enter into Season 2 we are encouraged by and focused on the strength of our team. As the great Jon Gordon says: teams rise and fall on culture, leadership, relationships, attitude and effort. Artistry has great faith in the power of meaningful relationships and connection between teammates. We believe in the power of a positive attitude and a goal-oriented mentality. We strive to make these a valuable part of our culture.

One of the unique things about Artistry is that we are one team. We spend a lot of our class time training together as one group. We feel strongly that there is so much to be gained by each dancer when this happens. Our younger dancers are encouraged and inspired by the older dancers in the room, and our more experienced dancers are able to spread their wings and lead the next generation of dancers. The impact our older dancers have on the younger dancers is incredible. The expectation is held very high and our young dancers are not only hearing the values and knowledge from the teachers they are seeing it carried out by the experienced dancers in the room. The energy is contagious and unifying.

When we work hard to be a great team member we make everyone around us better. We knew from the beginning we wanted our dancers to have strong relationships with each other and we were passionate about instilling the Big/Little Brother/Sister program. We love the way our dancers are drawn to the program and the excitement it carries. Our dancers become a strong support system for each other and that carries stability and positivity throughout the season. We are excited to watch each dancer use their creativity and kindness to show their peer support throughout the season.

At Artistry we are proud of the accountability and encouragement our dancers possess. Our dancers are encouraged to hold each other accountable to the high standards and excellence our culture expects and demands. Our dancers care about their effort, their work and their team members. Our dancers have helped to create a safe environment where they can take risks and not be afraid of embarrassment or shame.

Unity is the difference between a great team and an average team. United teams are connected and committed to each other. They are selfless instead of selfish. They put the team first and know together we can accomplish more. We are so proud of the unity our team carries.

We know the art form of dance is beautiful and extremely challenging; and we know that every season is filled with challenges. But we also know that with a strong team we can chase greatness and creativity in a way that will change us all for the better. There is no other team we would want to lead than the one we have this season.
